Background

Dr. Kew started his occupational health career with the Anglo-American Corporation as a Medical Officer on the mining complex, Freegold (approximately eighty thousand employees!). He developed the initial statistical management and reporting techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of their mining medical station occupational health services.

Dr Greg Kew is an Occupational Medicine Specialist with over 25 years of experience in all areas of occupational health consulting. He guides national occupational health policy through his roles in the Department of Labour and the South African Society of Occupational Medicine. He is also an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Cape Town.

His unique consulting style solves problems effectively and efficiently, as he can provide data management tools and standard documents to supplement his consulting advice.

Dr Kew’s passion is the development of Occupational Health Management Systems. In this capacity, he developed the leading proprietary South African branded system, “Synergee”, currently used by Occupational Health professionals countrywide.

Dr Kew provides guidance to organisations big & small, across all sectors of industry. He works comfortably with any team, including other occupational medicine colleagues. Dr Kew is proficient in three languages (English, Afrikaans and Xhosa).
